Joseph Awinongya Jr. scored a majority points decision victory in his first bout at the 2022 Junior Olympics against Pryce Sparrow from Rineyville Kentucky, USA.
He will face Timothy Greer representing Minnesota for a spot in the the semi-finals.
Greer also made it to the quarter finals by defeating Carroll Jomar to make his second quarter final in Junior Olympics.
The 2022 Junior Olympics competition is taking place in Wichita Kansas from July 8 to 16, 2022.
