16 athletes who will compete in the first ever public competitive pillow fights have been trained by officials of PFC Ghana at the premises of Dreamland Sports Plus in Bubuashie, Accra.
The trainees, both males and females were excited with the rules and regulations of the new sport and promised to dish out good performance on July 10 at the Odorkor Official Town Market.
Miss Sarah Awuni, Secretary at Dreamland Sports Plus led in the training and urged the athletes to be disciplined and comport themselves before, during and after the matches.
She said the new sport is in Ghana to add to sports and leisure activities and also make participants earn some money.
She called on companies to support the exciting sport which has emerged in the USA and Canada, while Ghana is the first African country to organize a competition.
She thanked American Stephen Williams who is the president of the world body controlling pillow fighting and the CEO of Dreamland Sports Plus, Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams as well as Yours Truly for the encouragement in staging a show in Accra, Ghana.
