Bastie Samir of Ghana and Cameroun’s Kamdam Kouengoue are headlining Ace Power Boxing Promotions Bill tonight at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The Ghanaian has not fought since April 2021, however the 33-year old Samir who weighed in at 193.1 pounds is optimistic of giving boxing fans what they want.
But the virtually unknown Kouengoue who also scaled 193.5 pounds says he will surprise the beast.
Samir with a record of 19-0-1, 18 KOs stands as the hot favorite to win.
“I am going to give off my best to make the show great. I will finish it in two rounds. I had a lot of challenges in my career but I want them to know that I’m back to being active again.” he told the media at the weigh in and press conference.
Kouengoue was also confident of not disgracing himself in Accra.
“Bastie Samir is a good fighter but I didn’t come here to lose. I am going to enjoy the fight” he said.
Rising star from the Volta region Holy Dorgbetor will defend his National Featherweight title belt against experienced Emmanuel Quartey.
The 23-year-old Dorgbetor (8-0, 5 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Success Tetteh in an entertaining back and forth at the same venue.
Quartey (25-4, 21 KOs) who is 32 years old is not giving up after some recent loses and wants to make amends, he will not get it easy.
On the undercard, Mohammed Ali (6-0, 6 KOs) will clash with Issah Inusah (2-0, 2 KOs) in a National light heavyweight Championship.
Richard Fenyi will meet Sylvester Doku in a lightweight contest.
John Zile and Robert Nunoo will determine who is the best featherweight in their contest.
Raymond Kofi Ansah and Emmanuel Baidoo Sarpey will also lock horns in a super welterweight contest.
