Besesaka Boxucation is a unique platform to support juvenile boxers – James C. Nortey

The founder / director of Besesaka in Ghana, Mr. C. Nortey who is based in Denmark has emphasized that their programme is to support the welfare of young sports boys and girls in deprives areas and the picked 50 kids from James Town and Bukom in Accra.

The 10-week camp is the vehicle through which Besesaka identifies potential scholars, and meet their parents and coaches.

The opportunity is to make them participate in boxing, learning and teamwork activities on a weekly basis.

“We are here to support kids doing sports, because we are sports people and sports lovers, we know what sports can do, but one has to be well educated also that is why we are doing all these. We are not signing on boxers at that tender age, the time will come, but we have not reached there yet. For now we want them to learn and have fun while the train” said Nortey.

“Through boxing we attract future scholars and present how ‘boxucation’ works. They receive weekly individual training at their gyms and collective training with our professional coaches every two weeks” he expressed.

“Our annual Besesaka Youth Festival is a celebration of what this sport means to  our community, and a chance for the next generation of talents to shine through” he added.

“We aspire for all our scholars to be role models to their peers by setting an example by striving to become the best version of themselves” he stressed.
