GHANA DESERVES GOLD – JIU JITSU HEAD COACH

Newly appointed Head Coach of the National Jiu Jitsu team, American, Daniel Earll has underscored the massive talent that pervades the landscape of the West African nation.

In an interview on GBC network, he said, ” Considering the raw talent that abounds, Ghana should be winning nothing but Gold in all competitions. This country used to be called the Gold Coast; therefore Gold belongs to the Gold Coast, and that is Ghana.”

He said the Federation was implementing measures to augment the current team into a more formidable and winsome side since they had impending tournaments across Africa, in Kazakhstan, Latvia The United States and the United Kingdom.

Speaking on the Greater Accra Open Combat Challenge, President of the Ghana Jiu Jitsu Federation, Mr. Maxwell Borquaye was emphatic about the selection process,” We won’t handpick athletes into the national team. You have to justify your inclusion by fighting and winning: it’s not automatic.

Vice President Evans Bernie Johnson expressed appreciation towards Electroland Ghana and urged other corporate bodies and individuals to come on board.
