.After close to a decade of sojourning in the United States, Ghana’s Sena AGBEKO has finally had his break. The US-WBC Super Middleweight Champion has a date with David Morrell Jnr ( 8-0, 7kos) in the co- main event of the blockbuster between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia at the T-Mobile Arena .
At stake would be Morrell’s WBA Regular Super Middleweight Strap which Agbeko ( 27-2, 21kos) seeks to wrestle from the Cuban banger.
Agbeko, also known as “The African Assassin” has not fought since his dominant win over Isaiah Steen in August last year. “This is the opportunity I’ve always wanted and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m highly motivated and in great physical condition. I’m handing Morrell his first loss”, the Ghanaian boxer who hails from the Volta Region stated: beaming with confidence.
In his last fight, Morrell destroyed Aidos Yerbossynully, with the latter going into a comatose. To this Sena retorted, “The last time I also fought a southpaw it didn’t really go well for him. But I prefer not to go into those details for now.
Sena, who stumbled in his US debut, believes it’s his time and nothing can stop him. ” I’m pumped up for the W on April 22 in Las Vegas, Nevada”,He thundered.
