Mohammed Riyahd, the Vice President of the Ghana Cycling Federation has supported the upcoming Africa Road Paracycling Championships next month with a class Honda rental saloon vehicle to be used by the Confederation of African Cycling President and Vice President of the International Cycling Union -UCI, Dr. WAGGIH Azzam during the period of the event.
The vehicle, together with its fuel usage throughout the 10 day period amounts to $2000.
The gesture by the affable and passionate gentleman is nothing strange to the Cycling fraternity. It would be recalled Mohammed Riyard has singlehandedly took care of the National Cycling Team at the African Championships in Rwanda in 2018. He again was financially instrumental at the Morroccan Championships in 2019.
The Chief Executive Officer of the fast rising construction firm, Riyard constructions Ltd, has been a pillar in the Paracycling department, securing countless sponsorships in their respective engagements.
Ghana is a few days shy of hosting the first ever African Cycling event scheduled from the 8th-17th next month at Ablekuma Ollebu.
