DICKSON ENAM KWAME ACOLATSE WINS AMBASSADOR’S KENDO CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE ACCRA SPORTS STADIUM

The Japan Week celebrations entered into its second day at the Hathiramani Hall of the Accra sports stadium on Sunday, November 13th, 2022, with Kendo being the centre of attraction.

The novel sport,which attracted all eyeballs inside the auditorium had Dickson Kwame Enam Acolatse cruising to a vintage victory over his fellow Kendoka, Ocloo Tetteh.

Adjanu Bruce and Wahab Hussein came through in third and fourth positions respectively

Acolatse, whose twist and turns were a delight to watch, registered all preliminary wins enroute to the final. The diminutive, ambitious Kendoka has proven to be a top notch in the sport in years to come.

He received his medal from His Excellency the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Hisanobu Mochizuki.

The Ambassador, Hisanobu Mochizuki was very delighted that the performance of the kendokas and thus donated a set of Kendoka equipments to the Ghana Kendo Federation.

Kendo is a novel sport introduced into the country over the last few years and has gained admiration of the Ghanaians.
