UPSA FINAL YEAR STUDENTS CONFERS ON THE GHANA CYCLING FEDERATION

Final year students from the University of Professional Studies UPS, conferred on the hierarchy of the Ghana Cycling Federation as part of their research program.

The students met with the Secretary General of the Ghana Cycling Federation Mr. Dennis Kweku Moore who also doubles as a writer on the ultimatesportsghana.com Sports portal and the Head of Sports at HS Television.

As part of their research questionnaires,they sought to find out about Cycling as a sporting discipline and how it is faring in the sporting space.

Secretary General of the Federation,Mr. Dennis Kweku Moore explained in details how Cycling emerged, its successes and future prospects.

Mr. Moore further explained to the students some of the challenges the Federation goes through citing funding as the prime obstacle.

The students also had the opportunity to interact with the Technical Director of the Federation who also doubles as the Operations Officer at the Ghana Olympic committee, Mr. Shaaban Mohammed.

Shaaban appreciated the efforts if the students in choosing Cycling as a research point and believed by this the masses would come to appreciate how beneficial the Sport is to all.

Shaaban encouraged the students to undertake upcoming roles as volunteers in the African Games,which is to be held next year in Accra encompass over 50 African countries.

The Cycling Federation in recent times has become one of the most active disciplines in the country,rubbing shoulders with the likes of Football and Boxing.
