Kwadwo Asamoah announces his retirement

Former Ghana International Kwadwo Asamoah has announced his retirement from football according to Italian sports journalist Nicolo Schira.

The versatile midfielder has decided to call it quit following a recurrent injuries.

Asamoah has been unattached following his departure from Cagliari in 2021, leading to his decision to retire from active football.

Kwadwo Asamoah is reportedly taking up a career as a football agent.

Aside from making 30 appearances in the UEFA Champions League, the Liberty Professionals product holds the record for the most capped African played in the Serie A (279).

He represented the Black Stars 71 times after his debut in February 2009, scoring four times.

Kwadwo Asamoah featured in four AFCON tournaments; 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2013 edition.

He was also part of Ghana’s team for the 2010 and 2014 World cup tournaments.

He featured for several teams including Juventus, Udinese, Inter Milan, and Cagliari.
