Cyclists representing Ghana at 2022 Commonwealth Games promise to do well

Five cyclists will represent Ghana in the road cycling race at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

According to the Technical Director of the Ghana Cycling Association, they have trained well to their level and what the nation can offer in terms of facilities for preparations and they are going to do their best.

According to Mr. Shaban Mohammed, the recent Accra Tour and Tour Du Ghana was a good exercise for the Cycling Association as they were able to monitor and observe the cyclists who are in form and ready for international assignment.

The Cycling Team comprise  Anthony Boakye- Road, Abdul Rahman Samed Road, Christopher Symonds- Road – Uk,  Emmanuel Arthur-Road-Uk,  Henry Tetteh Djangbah -Road-Uk, Emmanuel Otukornor Sackey-Track

Ghana will also take part in Para Cycling and will be represented in Tandem Track by Frederick Assor-Track,  Rudolf  Mensah –Pilot and Erica Sedzro-Track,  Florence Heridor-Track.

According to the Communication Manager of the Ghana Cycling Association Mr. Dennis Moore, the cyclists will put up a good performance. He expressed that participation at the Commonwealth Games is a great experience and it will afford the cyclists to know and see many things. He hopes that the Commonwealth Games experience will change the lives of many athletes.

Meanwhile the top cyclist in Ghana currently, Anthony Boakye believes they can do well at the Games. He asked Ghanaians to pray for them.
