Charles Osei Asibey Jnr, a member of the Golden Arms, the National Armwrestling team that won 168 medals at the African Championships said the gold medal tally could have increased if he had been a bit patient at the final.
Speaking to Yours Truly in an exclusive chat, the son of the president of Ghana and Africa Armwrestling said his opponent intimidated him so he lost concentration and focus while the referee rushed him so he settled for silver for his nation.

However he saw the organisation and performance of Team Ghana as best and perfect.
He hailed all his colleagues, teammates and officials for their hard work that has resulted in a massive grab of medals.
According to Osei Asibey Jnr combining education and sports is difficult but good because it makes you have something doing and not idle every time.
Though he is not a footballer, boxer or tennis star, Armwrestling has made him popular and travelled to some places.
He noted that choosing Armwrestling is one of his best decisions and he hopes the nation benefits massively from the sport.

“Today I am one of the medal winners for Ghana and I am so happy and proud. I can’t play football to the international level but here am I as an Armwrestling star, I give thanks to God and my dad” he expressed.
