Some of Ghana’s best boxers will be on parade in Koforidua to feature on the 1957 Boxing Night bill organised by SP Sports Promotions in collaboration with T2 Bar & Grill and PKO Boxing.
The event will take place at Total 2 on March 7, 2026 with gate fees pegged at 200ghc for VIP, 100ghc for Ringside and 50ghc for Popular Stand.
Yours Truly had an exclusive interview with Charles Tetteh aka ‘Hitman’ and George Faho Mensah aka ‘Stopper’ last Wednesday and they promised a good show in the Eastern Region.
Charles Tetteh, former National Featherweight Champion and winner of best boxer at the Imax Boxing League said he wants to move up to the international level and crack at the WBO Africa or WBA Africa titles.
“Opponents are afraid to come forward and it is affecting me as I can’t keep on training without fighting. I want challenge, I want the so called big boys. Don’t see me cool and calm, in the ring am very deadly. I am hungry for fights” he said.
George Faho Mensah aka ‘Stopper’ a Super Welterweight who can fight in the Middleweight class revealed that fans will see a new better version of him because after missing the opportunity to fight outside for the Commonwealth title, he has not given up, but rather intensified his training.
Both boxers thanked the SP Sports Management and Coach Eee of Panix Boxing Gym.
The 1957 bill will expose pugilists like Ben Abbey aka Kenya, Heavyweight Joseph Anim aka Junior Bazooka and Samuel Martei Laryea aka Eagle Eye.
Other boxers managed by PKO Boxing will feature on the bill like Benedict Baddoo who sees himself as the next super star from Chorkor.
