The New Executive of the GBF has promised to give opportunity to boxers and coaches as well as referees
The new President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) Alhaji Dauda Fuseni and his executive board has met the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah to introduce themselves and lay some of their plans.

Present at the meeting was the first Vice President Nii Adama Addy aka Nii Gonti Adjor 1, Second Vice President Solomon Otoo Lartey, Mustapha Nettey the Treasurer and executive member George Lamptey, however Ms Sarah Lotus Asare was absent.
The Secretary of the Federation who is an employee of the National Sports Authority was also present as well as PRO in the previous administration.

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah thanked the board and prayed they would get corporate support in their activities to prepare for international competitions and give Ghana more laurels.
Amateur Boxing is one discipline that has always given the nation medals at international sports events.
However government support is not encouraging. The Black Bombers, Black Hitters and Black Rockets have been struggling when they are about to travel for international competitions.
Boxing fans are appealing to the government to invest in boxing because the merits are enormous.
The last bronze medal Ghana won at the Olympic Games at Tokyo 2020 was by Samuel Takyi, a boxer.
