President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye has predicted more interesting fights and entertainment when the De-luxy Professional Boxing League resumes on Saturday June 11, 2022 with Fight Night 6.
Speaking on Max TV Sports program Boxing Arena hosted by Hon. Alhaji Amin Lamptey, on Monday, he said though the boxers representing the clubs are unknown, the crowd is massive, and on every Fight Night, the Bukom Boxing Arena is filled by the crowd.
He praised the Gyms and boxers who have always put up a good performance, and the healthy rivalry, mentioning, John Quaye and the Soldier Boxer as some of the exciting boxers to watch.
He expressed that the more juvenile and amateur boxers will be given the opportunity display their boxing skills, and National Champions will defend their titles.
He thanked the President of Ghana, HE Nana Akufo-Addo for accepting to offer the GBA a bus and pickup as some of the logistics to take boxing to the other regions.
Mr. Fadi Fattal, Director at Imax Media Group who was also at the studio commended the whole crew that have contributed to the production of the first ever Professional Boxing League in the world.
He also thanked the sponsors and boxing fans.
He revealed that the Homowo Special Boxing Fight Night will be held in August, then the President’s Boxing Championship will come off on December 26, as well as the planning to launch the Security Services Boxing League soon, it will be a side attraction to the De-luxy Boxing League, with fantastic prizes at stake.
The GBA has in recent times had fruitful relations and cordial social responsibility with the National Chief Imam, Alhaji Osumanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the Christian Council, the Ga Manste and the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana.
