First African to win a medal at the Olympic Games in any sporting event, Rome – 1960, has passed away, this morning in London, aged 86.
The late boxer won light welterweight silver at the Rome,1960 Olympic games.
He was survived by his two children, Clifton and Alex.
Clement Quartey is the senior brother of former world champion (WBA welterweight), Ike ‘Bazooka’ Quartey.
