Enoch Nii Tettey Tetteh of Ghana was defeated by Tanzanian Ibrahim Marfia for the WBC Africa Super Bantamweight Title at City Center Hall in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday.

The 22 years old Tetteh also lost by TKO 9 with his corner prompting the referee to stop the fight due to swollen eyes. His record is now 12-1-1, while Marfia is still undefeated in 11 fights.
Another Ghanaian boxer, Michael Abban aka Black Sider, 21 who is a National Lightweight Champion also lost in a contest to homeboy, Mchanja Yohana. Abban Lost by Unanimous Points Decision to record his first lose in 10 bouts.
Mchanja Yohana 26 now 17-6-1, beat Joseph Akai Nettey another Ghanaian recently.
“Better luck since they made the nation proud by fighting their hearts out, you know fighting away from home is difficult” said coach Killer of the Black Panthers Gym.
The news from Tanzania is not so pleasing for Ghanaian boxing fans.
Tanzania sports is rising very fast as they have put in efforts and strategies to reap positive results.
