The seminar was to introduce and educate the public on the principles and benefits of functional fitness, emphasizing on how it can improve quality of life.
It was also to select athletes from the region to compete in the upcoming National Championship in November.
Charles Owusu Ansah, president of FSLG said he believes Ghana can cultivate a sustainable functional fitness culture that promotes holistic health across all age groups.
“This grassroots approach not only empowers individuals but also strengthens communities and contributes to the overall well-being of the nation.
The federation in the coming months will give the opportunity to people who want to start a carrier in Functional sports to train in becoming technical officials and coaches to help in the development, growth and promotion of functional fitness as a competitive and leisure sport in Ghana” he expressed.
