Ms. Wendy Naa Deide Sampah has shown appreciation for her recognition by the Women In Sports Association (WISA).
Speaking to Yours Truly she said “In fact I felt very proud last Saturday and this award will certainly encourage me to work very hard. I didn’t know somebody somewhere was watching me. I thank the directors of HSTV who gave me the opportunity as television producer and sports photographer”.
She hinted that her passion is with disability sports and wants to promote them to reach world class in their various disciplines.
Wendy Sampah is very much interested in CP and Amputee Football as well as Para Powerlifting and Wheelchair Tennis which are done in Ghana.
She operates an NGO known as Wendy Foundation who support disability sports men and women.
She is a member of the Functional Fitness League Ghana and encourages people especially girls and women to get involved in sports
She dedicated her WISA Achievers Award to all female journalists and to the HSTV team, Mr Andy Ampofo, Mr Dennis Moore, Mr Sammy Heywood Okine, also to Mr Henry Tetteh Djangmah, Mr Kwaku Kyei- Boadu, Mary Afia Nhyira Koomson, Mr Emmanual Akpabli, Mr Abraham Sampah, Madam Naa Besa Nunoo and Mrs Evelyn Quartey – Papafio.
She was among 32 personalities who were honoured last Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
