The Bronx Gym at James Town was injected with excitement on Tuesday when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspiring MP for Odododiodoo, Hon. Nii Kotey Ashie visited to inspire and motivate the boxers to aspire for greatness.
His focus was on undefeated sensational power puncher Daniel Gorsh aka The Emperor who fights a tough experience Benin boxer Ghislain Vodounhessi for the WBO African Bantamweight belt.
The aspiring Member of Parliament advised Gorsh and all the boxers to be disciplined and take their training serious as well as obey the instructions and advise of their coaches and managers.
He commended Coach Carl Lokko for guiding the boxers to win titles.
The Bronx Gym has champions like John Laryea aka Expensive Boxer, Stanley Nyantekyi aka Ashanti Warrior, Sheriff Quaye aka One Time, Jacob Tetteh Laryea aka Chorkor Fire, Jacob Dickson aka The Beast, John Zile and some good Nigerian boxers.
The international bout dubbed ‘Golden Hands’ takes place at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday September 14 under the organisation of Shiatse and Legacy Promotions.
Tickets can be obtained at the Alley Bar, Tree House Restaurant, Barn Door Beer Garden, Jamestown Coffee Company and the Bukom Boxing Arena (GBA office).
