The Community Boxing Initiative of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) returns to Korle Gonno in Accra on Friday September 6, 2024 at the Okpotsu Park also known as the Bannerman Park, near the Tuesday Market from 7pm.
According to the Second Vice President of the GBF, Mr. Solomon Otoo aka Mangola, they are on course to unearth and groom new boxers to take over from the Black Bombers who failed to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
He said although the boxers did their best it was not enough because they had no exposure or training tour to equip them to have the required experience.
“We have learnt a long and we are not letting any chance slip by. We are going to pick the best boxers and prepare them well for the next Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. We also need financial support for camping and traveling” he expressed.
