The third edition of the Ghana Professional Boxing League promoted and staged by Imax Boxing Promotions in collaboration with the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) showing on Max TV begins today Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Bukom Boxing Arena at 8pm.
Ghana Army won the second edition after edging Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation who were the premier winners.
All the top boxing gyms in Accra are taking part in the competition which has a car at stake for the best boxer as well as best gym.
Among the exciting boxers on the bill is Theo Kpakpo Allotey who won bronze for Ghana at the 2024 Olympic Games Qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal. Alfred Kotey, also a Black Bomber and other new boxers, debutants are on the bill.
The Weigh-in was successfully done on Friday, in preparation for today.
Best coach for the Ghana Professional Boxing League Season 2, Bernard Charles Tetteh Nartey, Matchmaker Mubarak Yusif Nanor and GBA Record keeper and PR Committee member, Derek Ankrah are hoping for a good show.
Others who are expecting wonderful performances are Coach Dr. Ofori Asare of the Wisdon Gym and Alhaji Fadi Fattal of Imax Promotions.
