Ghanaian world title prospect and WBO Africa Lightweight Champion Sheriff “One Time” Quaye is ready to rumble come July 8 at the Golden Beach Resort in Accra.
Quaye ( 22-3-1, 14 KOs) squares up against the dreaded Bright Ayala ( 16-1-1) of the Wisdom Gym in a defence of his WBO Africa strap.
” I’m in tip top shape; maximum alacrity. Not overlooking my opponent, but beyond this I’m targeting a world championship.The likes of Devin Haney and Lomachenko should watch out for me “, said a boisterous Quaye when Boxing Writer Samuel Opoku Amoah caught up with him during a training session at the Bronx Boxing Gym, Jamestown – Accra.
The bill, dubbed ” The Reign” is put together by Swavy Blu Boxing Promotions and features other exciting fighters like Emmanuel Quartey, Kurrency Boxing Management duo : Issifu ” Labista” Sulley and Stephen Coffie, Jacob” Chorkor Fire ” Laryea, Emmanuel Mankattah Sackey and many others.
